A tenure-track faculty position at the level of Associate or Assistant Professor is available in the University of Michigan Department of Dermatology and Comprehensive Cancer Center. Rank of selected candidate is dependent upon qualitifications.
Applicants should have a strong interest in developing a comprehensive research program to further our understanding of the pathogenesis of melanoma or non-melanoma skin cancer.
The successful applicant will have access to abundant clinical material and translational research opportunities through interaction with outstanding teams of cutaneous surgeons, dermatopathologists, medical oncologists, and others engaged in the multidisciplinary care of skin cancer patients.
Duties also include teaching medical students, house officers and fellows in laboratory and didactic settings.
Applicants should possess an MD, PhD, or an MD/PhD. Evidence of scholarly ability (successful acquisition of external funding, record of publication in relevant peer-reviewed journals, record of presentation of research results is expected, as well as evidence of competence in laboratory and didactic teaching.
