About the Master of Management Program
Designed for students who want to “power their potential” by adding business fundamentals, the MM is intended for students who are recent college graduates (less than two years) who did not major in business as undergrads.  Many students at other parts of the University and at other institutions have chosen to major outside of business, but now seek to get a broad foundation in business prior to seeking employment. The Master of Management is intended to meet this student interest through a ten-month intensive program leading to a graduate degree in business. The MM core curriculum and electives provide graduate-level business education in addition to extensive programming in leadership and career development.

Purpose
Reporting to the Managing Director of the Master of Management program, the Admissions Officer Intermediate is primarily responsible for day-to-day recruitment and admission processes.  This position exists to ensure the recruitment & admission of a high-caliber groups of students that have a strong interest in learning business fundamentals. In addition, this person is an active and enthusiastic contributor to the Master of Management Program Office by assisting students and suggesting ideas that will enhance the overall MM graduate experience. This person will also work closely with the Managing Director and Faculty Director on crafting strategic initiatives to expand the Ross MM program and to promote the MM degree option across the U.S. and elsewhere.

Responsibilities*

Recruitment & Admissions
> Plan and coordinate recruitment efforts for prospective students to the MM program. Work with the Managing Director to create an annual strategic recruitment plan to enroll and outstanding class of students each year
> Work with Ross and UM departments to orchestrate and implement effective marketing and recruiting strategies
> Lead admissions efforts by engaging prospective students, coordinating information sessions, hosting prospective students, developing marketing materials, and collaborating with marketing on materials, events, outreach to influential parties at undergraduate institutions, etc. as determined
> Identify competitor set and manage registration, travel and budget related to attendance at graduate school fairs, job fairs, information sessions and the hosting of prospective students
> Counsel prospective students regarding admission requirements and the application process, through personalized written, email, telephone, and one-on-one contact
> Conduct In-person and Skype interviews for all students identified as potential admits and provide feedback to the Managing Director and Faculty Director as needed
> Work closely with the Managing Director to plan and host Admitted Student Preview Days.
> Maintain accurate prospective student records, tracking demographic information, event attendance, student status, and general correspondence.
> Assist with UM recruiting events as needed

Program Coordination
> Assist with the planning and execution of programs, events, conferences, workshops, and/or meetings by managing logistics, preparing agendas, gathering materials, communicating with attendees, and attending/hosting
> Assist with management of the program by participating in organizational meetings with faculty and program directors on the design, finance, and operational aspects of the program
> Advise students regarding program or unit policies and procedures
> Prepare and update program materials, communications, websites, newsletters, and presentations as necessary
> Provide student counseling as needed
> Maintain database of prospective students, current students, corporate contacts, etc.

Required Qualifications*

> Bachelor’s degree
> 1-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
> Demonstrated project management, event planning and organizational skills; strong attention to detail
> Team-oriented, flexible and customer-service oriented manner
> Ability to exercise initiative as a critical member of a team and to work independently with high efficiency and productivity
> Professional demeanor and customer-service oriented manner
> Proven ability to successfully interact with a diverse group of people
> Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to effectively present to prospective students and other constituencies
> Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
> Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a timely manner
> Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
> Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
