Prepares patient beds or chairs for infusion visits. Stocking and set up all instruments/supplies. Cleans and preps infusion space between patients. Assists with diagnostic procedures and treatments. Provides information to patients as directed by providers and/or nursing staff. Provides clinical assistance by taking vital signs, and drawing blood, preparing specimens and assisting patients. Operates and monitor patient care equipment. May perform some or all the duties of clinic clerical staff. Promotes and facilitates positive communication with the entire health care team.
Medical Assistants are hired and assigned to a specific team but may be required to help cover other teams. This may include Pediatric BMT clinic, PHO clinic, Procedures, Pediatric infusion.
Hours will vary from 7:30 AM-4:00 PM.
Under FLSA, incumbent in this position as nonexempt.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills demonstrated by performance evaluation in current position. Involvement of process improvement as described in the interview process. Strong accountability and follow through abilities.
Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Adult infusion experience, Pediatric infusion experience and Clinical experience.
American Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA) Membership.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
