The University of Michigan (U-M), School of Nursing (UMSN), Department of Systems, Populations and Leadership is seeking a scholar with an emerging program of research in implementation science and dissemination research to join our tenure track faculty.

The successful applicant will have peer reviewed publications and an emerging program of research with high potential for external grant funding. We are looking for a faculty member who is energized about their science and enthusiastic about mentoring others. The individual will initiate their program of research at the U-M and be a role model for students and faculty in the area of implementation science.

The search for this position will occur during the 2016-2017 academic year in anticipation of the position being filled during the 2017-2018 academic year. We are soliciting applications from emerging scholars. Applicants are expected to apply for extramural grant funds to support their research. Required Qualifications*


*Doctorally (PhD) prepared.

*For nursing PhD’s, a current MI nursing license is required or eligibility for a nursing license in the State of Michigan.

*Ability to collaborate with faculty regarding visionary educational programs.

*An emerging  record of scholarly attainment in the realm of scientific investigations, and publications. *A reputation for scholarship achievements and emerging contributions in their field of expertise.

*A commitment to establish an extramurally-funded research program.

*Prior to start date must be in compliance with all health requirements, orientations, licenses/certifications, policies and procedures both internal and external to the University for your assigned classroom(s) and/or clinical site(s).

*An emerging record of first-author, data-based, peer-reviewed publications and presentations.

*Demonstrated excellent communication, networking and relationship building skills.

*An emerging record of academic, professional and community service.
