Teaching a wide range of physics courses and advising students.
Developing a research program involving undergraduate students that leads to refereed publications along with securing the necessary resources for that program.
Performing professional service at the department, college, and university levels including student recruitment, as well as engagement of the community.
Minimum requirements are as follows:
Advanced ABD’s who will complete their Ph.D. by the time of appointment will also be considered
Potential for or evidence of high quality teaching in an undergraduate physics program
Record of published research
Preference will be given to the candidate who has the following qualifications:
Ph.D. in Experimental Physics or closely related discipline.
Potential for high quality teaching in an undergraduate physics program
Record or promise of published refereed research; promise of future productivity
Record or promise of engaged, committed service to the organization
Potential for utilization of the existing research facilities.
Ability to communicate and engage students at UM-Flint, and the community through civic engagement opportunities
