Briarwood Family Medicine Ambulatory Care facility is dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. Act as Lead Medical Assistant Specialist for Briarwood Family Medicine. You will serve as a positive role model and mentor for all staff. Your duties will require you to act as a change agent who promotes process improvement and sharing of best practices with all staff. Help to build a culture that promotes team work, open, honest communication and collaboration with all customers; internal and external. Coach and support staff to promote improvement and positive performance

Acts as an integral member of the leadership team. Seek and foster constructive approaches to resolving workplace conflicts and issues. Promotes and recognizes the contribution of others. Understand and follows through with delegated responsibilities in a positive manner. Assist in following up on disciplinary measure and guidelines with HCM. Capitalize on and utilize MA Specialist staff to their fullest potential.

Required Qualifications*

Demonstrated ability to perform all duties required of a Medical Assistant Specialist. Coordinate MA staff training and development to ensure mandatories are kept current and completed on time.  Leads process improvements and supports implementation of changes. 

Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in laboratory and patient care activities. Experience in an outpatient setting for 3-5 years as a Medical Assistant Specialist in a leadership position. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. Must have good attendance record. Certification as a Medical Assistant.

Work Schedule

This position is 40 hours/week, Monday-Sunday.  Must be available and flexible with schedule for Saturdays and evening rotation.
