The University of Michigan Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full-time, board-certified or eligible psychiatrist with added qualifications or eligibility in addiction psychiatry to enhance clinical, education/training, and research activities in its Substance Abuse Section. The Substance Abuse Section is a national leader in addiction research, education, and treatment and offers a collegial and supportive work environment (http://www.umaddictioncenter.org). Desirable candidates will qualify for a clinical track faculty position at the Instructor level or higher, commensurate with level of experience. This faculty position will include at least 75% of clinical effort in Addiction Treatment Services and up to 25% effort in Psychiatry Ambulatory Care Services at the University of Michigan. In addition to direct clinical care, approximately 15% time will be dedicated to educational development and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows; and 10% time for clinical research/scholarly activity at the treatment site with opportunities for collaboration with exciting clinically relevant research activities.
M.D./D.O. and must be board certified or board eligible psychiatrist with added qualifications or eligibility in addiction psychiatry . Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan, including buprenorphine waiver. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
