Provide patient care under direct supervision of the RN.
Perform procedures, including setting up and maintaining specialized clinical equipment such as bedside scales, doppler, accucheck and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
Prepare IV therapy and collecting specimens.
Provide personal hygiene to patients and other delegated nursing procedures.
Ability to bend, lift, push and pull.
Must be able to read and write.
Minimum age of 18 years.
High school graduate required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively under direct supervision of RN.
Demonstrate good attendance record.
Demonstrate time management skills.
Six to twelve months of prior direct patient care experience.
Course work in Allied Health Field, including basic science and math courses.
Shift/Rotation: Primarily Days/Nights (Combination of 8 or 12 hour shifts)
Employee must be able to work flexible schedule to accomodate the unit needs.
