Job Summary

Public Allies Metro Detroti is an AmeriCorps program in partnership with University of MIchigan-Dearborn's Office of Metropolitan Impact. We seek find potential participants for this position.

Public Allies Metro Detroit Leadership Academy Scholars are members from the community interested in social change and transformation. We work with nonprofits in the metro Detroit to help build and expand organizational capacity. We will have a range of responsibilites including capacity building, community engagement, needs assessments, creating partnerships and other community based projects. Leadership Academy Scholars will be required to attend weekly leadership development training and project planning days, in addition to the work the do in the community. Duties will vary depending on the needs and mission of the nonprofit organization. Leadership Academy Scholars are members of the Michigan Commission for Community Service funded AmeriCorps progam.

Required Qualifications*

High School Diploma or GED

Additional Information

Pay: Living sipend paid biweekly

Hours: 40 hours per week with some nights and weekends, as necessary

This position will be from January 9, 2017 to June 16, 2017.
