Job Summary

Opportunities exist for cutting-edge research projects in the areas of health and disease associated with cross talk between immune cells, microbes and the intestinal barrier. State of the art approaches using molecular biochemistry,  knockout mouse models under normal and germ free conditions, cell lines, purified leukocytes and ex-vivo organoids generated from stem cells are being employed to investigate fundamental mechanisms regulating mucosal barrier function, leukocyte trafficking,  cell proliferation, migration  and wound repair in the gastrointestinal tract. Our studies have recently resulted in new patent applications and high impact, translationally relevant publications.

Responsibilities*

Successful candidates will become part of a highly productive and collaborative team of junior and senior investigators in a modern, interconnected laboratory space. Within the group, there is a strong commitment to mentorship and an excellent track record of success for both academic and industrial career track oriented individuals.

Required Qualifications*

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D., preference will be given to individuals with expertise in molecular/cell biology, protein biochemistry of eukaryotic systems and mucosal immunology. Proficiency in English and strong communication skills are necessary.
