Job Summary

A postdoctoral research fellowship is available with a focus on the genomic studies of human autoimmune and inflammatory diseases in a productive laboratory at the University of Michigan.


The applicant will be responsible for undertaking functional genomic studies using in vitro and in vivo approaches to understand the functional consequences of genetic susceptibility loci previously identified by this lab in diseases such as lupus, Behcet’s disease, and Takayasu arteritis. Training in genomic molecular biology methods, including gene editing (CRISPR/Cas9), ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and EMSA is strongly preferred. Candidates who have demonstrated scholarly productivity will be preferred.

Required Qualifications*

Successful candidates must hold a PhD in molecular biology, genetics, or immunology.  Applicants must be within 1-3 years from the time they obtained their PhD, and must demonstrate a clear interest in pursuing an independent career in science.
