Provide nursing care in a variety of Ambulatory Care Procedure areas both on-site and off-site. Includes administration of conscious sedation and expert monitoring of patient response, proficient telemetry skills and ability to respond to emergent situations, telephone management of patient and family calls including detailed assessment and triage of emergent/urgent situations, provide patient and family education, assistance with procedures, daily clinic operations management, functional supervision of assistive personnel and other responsibilities as requested.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C, includes B.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of MI.
3-5 years of current or recent (within last 18 months) nursing experience in the areas of Surgical nursing, PACU, or an Ambulatory Surgery/Procedure setting
Expert telemetry skills
Ability to administer conscious sedation and monitor patient response
Conscious Sedation Certification
Proficiency with IV insertion

- BSN preferred
- Experience with administration of chemotherapy/Chemo certification
- Experience in Ambulatory Care Nursing/Ambulatory Care Certification
- Telephone management experience
- Broad range of clinical experience
- Experience as a float nurse
- Blood drawing skills
- Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary health care team
- Demonstrated accountability and dependability
- Demonstrated positive attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to varying schedules and different work environments, and exemplary customer relation skills
Hours/Week: 40 hours per week
Shift/Hours: Day shift: 8-hour shifts;
Hours & Days will vary: Mon- Fri; hours will be variable- between 7:00AM - 6 PM
