Perform statistical and bioinformatics analyses of high throughput sequencing data including DNA methylation data, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, exome sequencing, single cell genomics, and GWAS data.
Participate in the execution of high throughput sequencing data, which would include cell processing, cell culture, DNA and RNA extraction.
Participate in the design of high throughput sequencing data to study complex autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
A Bachelor's degree in a related science field required and a master’s degree preferred in bioinformatics, statistical genetics, or computational biology. The applicant is expected to be comfortable with computational biology and the statistical analysis of large data sets. Proficiency in programming environments such as R, Java, C++, and the ability to interpret and communicate complex bioinformatics data are required.
Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to work and communicate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists. The ability to multi-task and sustain a high level of organization while working with several research studies. The ability and desire to write and publish results generated, and deposit large data sets into the public domain.
