Provides administrative support to neurosurgeons and nurse practitioners utilizing knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Schedules patient appointments (new patients, return visits, preoperative, postoperative, diagnostic studies, as well as history and physicals), surgeries, admissions, anesthesia requirements for surgery, pre and postoperative testing, phone notes for nurses to address patient concerns, prescription needs, etc. Screens and directs telephone calls.

Process, manage and schedule surgical schedule within MiChart/OpTime utilizing the neurosurgery OR portal.

Transcribes documents for general correspondence administrative correspondence.

Responsible for calendar maintenance, meeting coordination, CV updates, faculty vacation time away blue sheets, etc.

Required Qualifications*

High school diploma, minimum of 2-5 years experience in dealing with scheduling issues. Proficient user of MiChart and Microsoft office applications. Independent, self directed. Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Desired Qualifications*

Knowledge of OpTime strongly desired.

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
