Under supervision of the Director: plans, implements, supervises and assesses undergraduate recruitment programs and territory assignments for high school and transfer students, including coordination of recruitment staff’s attendance at various recruitment events. Leads recruitment staff with the development, implementation, and evaluation of recruitment plans for individual territories. Monitors enrollment trends and adjust short and long-term recruitment strategies accordingly.  Actively participates in development of new and existing markets.

Provides leadership, supervision and mentorship to team of admissions counselors. Serves as leader, advisor, and trainer for Recruitment team. Manages duties related to recruitment and event coverage.

Manages operations related to transfer equivalency, transfer evaluation, and transfer processing, including maintenance of related systems. Serves a key role in identifying and developing opportunities for strategic transfer partnerships and pathways.

Manages daily office operations related to application decision processing. Monitors folder review process and identifies opportunities for improvement. Provides primary decision-making authority to recruitment and processing staff regarding unusual cases of admissibility. Serves as the primary contact and reviewer for applicants with misconduct/criminal history. Serves as a key member of the department’s Operations team.

Maintains liaison with various internal and external audiences to address questions related to undergraduate admissions and transfer process.

Provide leadership on special projects and other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Education or related fields with Master’s degree in Enrollment, Student Affairs, Public Affairs, or Higher Education  preferred

Proven experience leading or managing admission recruitment teams in a higher education setting.

5 years of undergraduate admissions/recruitment experience

Previous experience creating effective college admissions recruitment and marketing plans with proven results

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in areas such as counseling and recruiting

Advanced experience using Microsoft  applications

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills

Demonstrated experience working independently and using sound independent judgment as well as proven experience providing positive influence to a team environment

Desired Qualifications*

Experience using Banner

Knowledge of EMAS software
