The Department of Student Involvement and Leadership is seeking a Graphic Artist to oversee marketing for the following areas:student organizations, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and leadership programs, Housing and Residential Life, and Dean of Students office.
The Graphic Artist will:
-create and post flyers on digital screens;
-update SIL website (training in Drupal will be provided);
-maintain social media including Facebook and Twitter so that information is current and upcoming events are advertised in a timely manner;
-create flyers and other marketing materials for the department; and,
-other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of Photoshop, Drupal, and social media is preferred. Training will be provided.
Candidate must have willingness to take initiative to explore new ways to create/add variety of content types (pictures, static videos, streaming videos, pdfs, docs, excel files, etc).
The Graphic Artist will be expected to maintain consistent hours every week, approximately 25 hours/week.
At least one year experience creating marketing posters and other written materials or equivalent experience in coursework
Demonstrated knowledge of Photoshop and social media such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Experience working in a college/university setting, particularly with student activties and organizations.
Familiarity with webpage design
