The University of Michigan Medical School, Department of Radiology has a part-time position available for a Research Senior Supervisor. The Functional Neuroimaging, Cognitive and Mobility Laboratory (pdresearch.rad.med.umich.edu/) is looking for a highly motivated physician to join the laboratory to lead clinical research studies that involve clinical trials, including testing of investigational drugs, medical devices or imaging biomarkers (PET, MRI). The physician will have supervisory and regulatory oversight over these clinical drug studies and will be responsible for clinical assessments, interpretation of clinical, laboratory or imaging data, and be responsible for regulatory reporting requirements to the IRB and the FDA.
Independently assist the laboratory faculty with the planning, design, and execution of new and existing clinical studies, including clinical trials.
Regulatory oversight of clinical trials and reporting requirements to the IRB and FDA
Participate as a team member in experimental design, analysis of data, educational mission of the laboratory.
Assist in drafting manuscripts related to the projects.
Train and supervise all personnel involved in the clinical studies and promote excellent communication between research team members and between the research team and the study sponsors.
Candidates should have a MD degree or equivalent and hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must work well with others in a collaborative environment.
Previous training or work experience in an academic institution as well as demonstration of research experience are desirable. Demonstrated record of clinical experience with patients.
