The University of Michigan-Flint’s Department of Art and Art History seeks a part-time, Lecturer I in Design, beginning September 2017. Responsibilities include teaching one or two design courses for Fall 2017 from a possible range of courses. The appointment is for the Fall semester only, but is potentially renewable for the Winter semester based on department need. Minimum salary for this position is $3,413 per course section.
Minimum qualifications include a M.A. or MFA in Art with coursework in Design. Ability to teach a range of courses including 2-D Design, Design II, Introduction to Web, Motion Graphics and Corporate Identity. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated vision, enthusiasm, and leadership are essential.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
