Job Summary

This role will serve as the Health Promotion Manager for the Regional Alliance for Healthy Schools (RAHS).  This position is 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week).  The primary responsibilities may include staff management and programming oversight.  The Health Promotion Manager oversees prevention programs and care coordination services across 11 RAHS health centers in Washtenaw County and Genesee County.  This position is the lead for health promotion initiatives and community engagement opportunities.  The Health Promotion Manager works collaboratively with the Clinical Director for the ongoing development of clinical compliance within the health centers.  An ideal candidate will have the ability to manage high level projects with accuracy and dependability.  The Health Promotion Manager should possess strong organizational and communication skills and enjoy working as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team.  A clinical operations background or experience working in a primary or adolescent healthcare setting is strongly desired. 

Responsibilities*

  • Supervise Care Coordinators and Registered Dietitian (5 staff)
  • Oversee prevention programs related to substance use, sexual health, yoga, bullying, and other health promotion activities.
  • Oversee care coordination services.
  • Oversee case management and PCMH data collection for grant reports.
  • Coordinate health fairs and community outreach opportunities.
  • Serve as the RAHS liaison on school wellness committees.
  • Work collaboratively with Clinical Director regarding immunization programing.
  • Work collaboratively with Clinical Director to ensure implementation of department’s Continuous Quality Improvement Program.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

  • Masters of Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field and equivalent experience.   
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in primary, adolescent or academic healthcare setting. 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve project objectives. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 

Desired Qualifications*

  • Associate nursing degree or BSN. 
  • 1-2 years' experience managing clinical operations.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth. 
  • Microsoft Office Suite expertise.
