The Youth Policy Lab (YPL) at the Survey Research Center (SRC) within the Institute for Social Research (ISR) is seeking a Research Assistant to support the Math Alignment in the Earliest Years of Formal Schooling project. The primary role of the Research Assistant is transferring data from paper classroom observation protocols to a digital format and maintaining the data files. Other responsibilities include weekly meetings with the project supervisor and checking codes for consistency with the established coding protocol. Because protocols contain Personal Identifiable Information, all work must be completed onsite.
Experience working with Microsoft EXCEL
Prior data entry experience
Coursework in a related field (public policy, education, statistics, economics)
Strong writing and communication skills
Attention to detail
Experience working on a research study
Experience working in a school or classroom setting
This is a temporary hourly position of approximately 10 hours/week through the end of April.
