Responsibilities*

Driving to and from secondary secondary schools and community colleges to conduct visitation programs in assigned territories, including attendance at on and off campus recruitment and community events (includes evening hours and extensive travel). Develop and implement recruitment plan and communication management for assigned territory. Prepare and execute presentations to prospective students, parents and other key stakeholders. Consistently demonstrates sound judgment, strong communication skills, impeccable professionalism, and the ability to work with a great deal of independence.

Evaluate applications and make appropriate admissions decisions. Evaluate transfer credit for course equivalencies. Meet individually with prospective students and their families to discuss program offerings, admissions and financial aid processes, scholarship opportunities, etc.

Provide coaching/mentoring to junior admissions officers. Assist Leadership Team with special projects.

Provide liaison services to other University departments.

 Special duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications*

Requires a Bachelor’s degree; minimum 1-3 years previous admissions experience required; Strong written and verbal communication skills required; Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office required;

This position requires extensive travel. Therefore a valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record is required or other acceptable alternative transportation arrangements provided by the employee that allow him/her to fully meet the requirements for regular in-state travel to your assigned territory and other sites as required;

This position may be filled at the lower level underfill position (Admissions Office Associate) if there are no applicants who fully meet the requirements of the Intermediate position as posted.
