This Psychologist position at the University Center for the Child and the Family (UCCF) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to UCCF's clinical service and training programs.
We are seeking an individual with substantial training and clinical experience in a best practices framework that emphasizes the provision of evidence-based assessment and/or treatment services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as other forms of youth psychopathology. The ideal candidate will be able to take on a leadership role within UM-ACTS: University of Michigan Autism Consultation and Treatment Services, which is housed within UCCF. At UCCF, we value the use of an integrated model that considers cultural context, family values, developmental issues, and family/community systems in the development of individualized approaches to care.
The responsibilities of this position include: (1) supervision of psychology practicum students, psychology and social work interns, and postgraduate trainees (monitor clinical care of clients seen by supervisee, structure activities of the supervisee to help ensure the provision of competent services, facilitate trainee's professional development, provide formative and summative evaluation of the supervisee's clinical work and professional behavior); (2) direct services to clients (depending on percentage effort this may include diagnostic evaluation or treatment); (3) seminar presentations; and (4) participation in agency planning. This individual will also have opportunities to participate in the continued development of UCCF's community outreach and collaborative research activities.
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology; Full Michigan licensure as a Psychologist; demonstrated training and clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families; and teaching/clinical supervisory experience.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of post doctoral experience is preferred.
