Job Summary

The Section of Plastic Surgery is seeking responsible clerical support for its busy Plastic Surgery Clinic at Dominos Farms.

Responsibilities*

Duties include receiving/assisting patients, processing check in and check out paperwork, collecting co-pays, making/answering telephone calls and making appointments. Additional duties include processing internal and external referrals, managing the pre-service business work queue and monitoring/working the patient referral work queues for consults and authorizations, completing end-of-day reconciliation, and collecting patient payments. The candidate must be able to work with peers, physicians and administration in a team effort and is expected to perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

Must have excellent customer service skills and be very comfortable working with computers and have a general knowledge of medical office practices.   The successful candidate will be a self-starter, motivated, with a positive and professional attitude, demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision; and ability to take direction and work with others as part of a team.  High School graduate or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications*

Working knowledge of MiChart Cadence and EpicCare Ambulatory applications.
