The Department of Anesthesiology is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator Healthcare to facilitate all implementation phases of a new clinical trial as well as the ongoing coordination and maintenance of open and closed studies. This position will work closely with industry sponsors’ monitors including managing site visits.
Looking for an exceptional clinical research coordinator for a full-time position with experience in IRB regulatory processes, data acquisition, data management, and point of care patient consent to work in the Department of Anesthesiology. The candidate will work with physicians, nurses, staff, and patients to ensure the success of research projects, from proposal development to data collection. In addition, interaction and coordination with the research staff (other coordinators, statisticians, software programmers) of the Anesthesiology Department will be required.
This study coordinator will have two primary activities: 1) work in the clinic setting, operating room, medical units and ICUs to enroll patients and collect data for multiple research studies 2) working with faculty leadership, provide clinical research project management to ensure effective tracking, follow-up, and completion of clinical research studies.
- Highly professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required
- 1 to 3 years of clinical research experience involving human subjects, IRB methodology, and working with a clinical research team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually while meeting deadlines in a multitasking environment
Comfort with and proficiency in software applications used to support research processes (eResearch, etc).
- Previous experience with MiChart, RedCap
- Previous customer service experience
- Background in a medical field and knowledge of medical terminology
Flexible schedule is required, as some weekend (day) coverage may occasionally be required
