Job Summary

The Section of Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan Health System is seeking a faculty member to join our team at the Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor level. The preferred candidate will have clinical duties in the areas of cosmetic surgery, and general plastic surgical reconstruction.  Duties also include teaching medical students, house officers and fellows in clinical and didactic settings. Opportunities exist to pursue clinical-based research.

Required Qualifications*

Required qualifications include an M.D, successful completion an approved Plastic Surgery residency program, board certified in plastic surgery, hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan.  The preferred candidate will have completed formal fellowship training or have equivalent clinical experience in cosmetic surgery.  Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected.  Academically the preferred candidate will have interest and demonstrated expertise in the area of clinical (outcomes) research.
