The candidate will conduct experimental plans, as designed, and will be able to independently perform basic cell and molecular biology methods (e.g. western blot, qRT-PCR, cell culture, etc…) required for their completion. The candidate will suggest options for improving quality and recommending solutions, and will actively participate in research/data analysis, and suggest future improvements in experimental design or data measurement. The candidate will assist in training others in equipment operation and laboratory techniques. Candidate will work independently on collection of data and will analyze research results, and will prepare figures and participate in manuscript preparation. The candidate will assist in day-to-day lab management, including maintenance of records and equipment, and will assist with completion of paperwork for lab inspections.
- A Bachelor’s degree and at least 0-1 year laboratory experience are required.
- A Master’s degree, or equivalent is desirable.
- Prior experience with flow cytometry and animal (rodent) husbandry is desirable.
