The University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn) is one of the three campuses of the University of Michigan. UM-Dearborn, a comprehensive university offering high quality undergraduate, graduate, professional and continuing education to residents of southeastern Michigan, and attracts more than 9,000 students. Students working in the technical services department are mainly responsible for the processing of books, journals, and other materials added to the library collection. They also perform minor book repair (tip-in of page(s) in books). They assist in the process of sending materials to the bindery and unpacking materials returning from the bindery. They also sort incoming library mail, have some minor shelving duties, and work on other projects/duties as assigned.
