Job Summary

The Department of Management Studies is seeking a student (temporary) worker to perform administrative work. The candidate will coordinate all activities in both the US and Italian portions of the International Summer Program in Management (ISPM).


The University of Michigan-Dearborn College Of Business is home to an international exchange between The University of Padua and The University of Michigan-Dearborn. UM-D sends a group of students to U of P to study Marketing and Organizational Behavior for 1 short summer semester, 6-weeks from May 1 thru June 15th. And then U of P sends a group to UM-D to study Marketing, Organizational Behavior and International Accounting from July 19th thru August 24th.


The ISPM Coordinator will help the US students plan their travel abroad during the early months of the year and then will manage the Italian students who arrive in the states in July. The day-to-day activities include:

  • Marketing
  • Qualifying and Prepping US Students to Travel Abroad
  • Travel Logistics
  • Budget Creation and Administration
  • Events and Activities Planning
  • Classroom Planning
  • Student relations
  • Faculty Support
  • Negotiating and Scrutinizing Supplier Contracts


Required Qualifications*

Candidates must:

-Be a registered student 

-Know Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and be conversant in some social media sites.

-Be detail oriented

-Be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally

-Be professional and courteous

-Be able to manage a budget

-Be available to accompany Italian students during and after business hours

-Have dependable transportation
