This position will focus on adult inpatient nutrition care in University Hospital and the Cardiovascular Center.
This position will provide comprehensive nutrition services to patients admitted to the Cardiovascular Center Intensive Care Unit and other cardiothoracic surgery patients by performing nutrition assessments and developing nutrition care plans using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process, providing recommendations for nutrition intervention, conducting nutrition education, precepting dietetic interns, and displaying a high level of customer service, attentiveness and consideration to patient care while providing evidence-based medical nutrition therapy.
- Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position.
- Employees in this classification must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) OR must be RDN Eligible and have completed supervised practice program/internship prior to start date.
- Applicants must have experience with adult inpatient medical nutrition therapy including nutrition support therapy.
- Some weekend and holiday coverage is required.
Hours: 32 hours per week (4 days per week)
Shift/Days: 8 hours per day (variable)
