Responsibilities included, but not limited to: Work under the supervision of a professional Nurse. Perform vital sign checks. Perform chem sticks. Assist patients with, or administer routine personal hygiene. Prepare patients for appointments. Ambulate, move and lift patients. Assist with feeding patients. Assist patients with bed pan and urinal service and record output and input. Assist Nurse with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients. Respond to call lights. Assist in obtaining and caring for equipment. Help maintain a safe, clean environment on the unit.
Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities which include moving, transferring and positioning patients and equipment as well as constantly positioning self to provide patient care and related duties. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Nurse Aide Certification from an approved Nurse Aide Training Program. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience as a Nurse Aide within the past year in a home care, hospital or nursing home setting.
Orthopaedic/Trauma experience preferred.
Hours/Week: 32 hours
Working every other weekend
