Job Summary

The RITMO project "Reinventing Mobility and Urban Transportation" funded by the Michigan Institute of Data Science has an opening for an application programmer. The person hired into this position will support the project in developing mobile and web applications, as well as 3-D visualizations.

Responsibilities*

Support the MIDAS project for the development, maintenance, and testing of mobile and web applications for transportation research and deployments. Develop repositories for data collection.  Develop and maintain technical documentation. Ensure print and online documentation is correct, adequate and available to researchers and staff.  Train customers and staff how to get started with the mobile and web applications.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Two or more years of experience working with web development including node.js, Celeri, Redis, Docker, mongoDB, GIS mapping, and 3D visualization. Significant experience with C++, Javascript, and Python. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.

Desired Qualifications*

One or more years of experience with IOS and Android development, Git Lab CI.  Knowledge of security protocols.

This position may be filled at a higher classification or underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Additional Information

This is a term limited position for two years from the date of hire.  Salary depends on experience and qualifications.
