The Epigenomics Core is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual, whose responsibilities will be centered primarily around sample preparation for Chip-Seq, ERRBS/mERRBS, hMeDIP, and bisulfite treatment for sequencing on Illumina platforms. Responsibilities will include sample reception and quantification, quality control (PCR, qPCR, Agilent TapeStation), DNA and RNA extraction, bisulfite treatment of samples for microarray platforms, along with other duties as assigned. Organize sample inventories, perform quality control, maintain and order stock of supplies, solvents and chemicals. Work with others to optimize protocols for sample preparation to gain efficiency outcomes. 

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor's degree in science required and 1-2 years of related experience.
Prior experience working in a molecular biology laboratory with experience in nucleic acid extractions, PCR, quantitative PCR and next-generation sequencing library preparations.
Excellent data recording and organizational skills are a must, along with strong communication skills (written & verbal). The applicant should be detail oriented with a willingness to learn new protocols, work independently but still be a team player. Good computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs.

Desired Qualifications*

Master's degree in science. Prior experience with epigenomics assays.
