This position is in the administrative area of the Office of the Registrar. The primary responsibility will be to scan and organize documents and assist with tasks related to the office’s upcoming move to a new location. It will also include working at the front desk, assisting with proctoring placement exams during summer orientation, and other administrative work that may arise during the summer.
The successful candidate is one who has excellent attention to detail and is comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously. The position requires a high level of organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Ability to effectively communicate specific and detailed information, both verbally and in writing. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Strong time management, customer service, and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as appropriate. Ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
Variable between 15-20 hours/week. Primary hours will be Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, with the possibility of occasional Sunday afternoon work for placement exam proctoring.
The position will start as a summer position only with potential of continuing through the 17/18 academic year.
Gain experience in higher ed administration by working in the Registrar’s Office and observing the day-to-day operations. Learn about document management strategies. Develop customer service skills by interacting with students, parents, faculty, and other visitors to the office.
