Job Summary

The University of Michigan-Flint Philosophy Department is seeking a part-time lecturer (LEO Lecturer I) for the Fall 2017 semester.  The lecturer will teach two sections, one at a High School and one online.  These will be: a section of Philosophy 101, Introduction to Philosophy on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-1:45 PM at Fenton High School as part of the Extended Learning program, and an online section of Philosophy 162, Introduction to Ethics.  

Estimated salary for this position is $3,413 per course section (3 credit course).

Required Qualifications*

Applicants must possess an MA in Philosophy and have experience teaching introductory philosophy courses. Experience with teaching both in the classroom and online required.

Desired Qualifications*

Preference will be given to applicants who either have a Ph.D. or are ABD.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
