This position is responsible for administering vaccinations, per established protocols, based on the nursing process, and vaccine manufacturer guidelines at flu clinics provided throughout the community. Flu Clinics are provided at various locations in Wayne, Washtenaw, Livingston and Lenawee counties.
This position is temporary. Interested applicants should apply if they are reasonably confident they will be available to work September - December. The number of hours available varies per week based on programmatic needs. Program runs 7 days per week, however most work is on weekdays between 8am-5pm.

Hourly wage: $16.00 /hour

In cooperation with on-site RN, manages the clinic site, leads the clinic team, and controls clinic supplies/inventory.
Assists with set-up and break down of clinic area.
Refers to the Clinic Notebook (containing the signed physicians order for vaccine immunizations and emergency treatment as well as all protocols and procedures) as needed.
Confirms that all systems are in place before beginning to see patients.
Current Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan
Successful completion of a program in nursing
6 months of acute nursing experience or equivalent
Proficient in IM injection technique
Ability to work autonomously in a non-structured environment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to travel from point A to point B throughout the workday as assigned.
Must comply with all Michigan Medicine Occupational Health requirements including annual flu immunization.
The employee will be able to perform the assigned duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations: ability to work in a sedentary position for long periods of time, ability to communicate/ exchange information, fine motor coordination/dexterity necessary for keyboarding or typing, and may require reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, moving about, walking, lifting of up to 25 pounds, etc., with or without the use of assistive/adaptive devices.
