The Early Childhood Education Center at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Education, Health, and Human Services has an exciting opportunity available for a person with great initiative, flexibility and professionalism to work as an Office Assistant. This position will interact with parents, children, teachers, fellow students, and staff; and provide an opportunity to learn new skills and improve existing skills.
The Office Assistant will be responsible for clerical tasks including, but not limited to: answering phones, customer service, collecting statistical data for reports, preparing Microsoft Word and Excel documents, and other duties as assigned. Work will be assigned both individually and in team projects.
Above average communication skills (writing, speaking and listening)
Professional etiquette, in-person and on-the-phone
Outgoing, friendly, and helpful personality
Able to set priorities and take initiative
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel)
Willingness to learn new software
