Job Summary

This full time position provides research support to two exciting research programs focused on youth mental health.

Responsibilities*

Michigan Child Collaborative Care Program which seeks to increase access to high quality children's mental health services.

  • Assist with scholarly related tasks (e.g., literature reviews, PowerPoint presentations)
  • Assist in the development/implementation of the data management protocol including data coding, data entry, and database management in Excel and SPSS
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports


Youth and Young Adult Suicide Prevention Projects. The SAMHSA- funded Transforming Youth Suicide Prevention in Michigan Project seeks to create state level systems changes in support of suicide prevention.

  • Assist with scholarly related tasks (e.g., literature reviews, PowerPoint presentations)
  • Completion and maintenance of IRB requirements for 2 child welfare projects and PES project
  • Data collection
  • Assist in the development/implementation of the data management protocol including data coding, data entry, and database management in Excel and SPSS
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

Required Qualifications*

  • High School diploma
  • Perform routine research tasks, including library research
  • Ability to participate in group observation activities
  • Ability to administer questionnaires and conduct interviews
  • Ability to collect, analyze, code, and tabulate data
  • Ability to set up and operate laboratory programming operations

Desired Qualifications*

  • Graduation from a college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Relevant research experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Interest in public health approaches to prevention
