Job Summary

We are actively seeking highly qualified candidates who will provide compassionate and exceptional customer service. Candidates should be enthusiastic and patient-oriented individuals who are interested in creating the ideal experience for our patients, families, and employees. 

Responsibilities*

Patient intake documenting chief complaint, medication review, review history and update MiChart as directed. Maintain efficient patient flow. Assist providers within exam room providing support to patient and the needs of the provider during the exam. Knowledge of varied equipment. Provide patient education as directed by the provider, along with instructions for future treatments as delegated by the provider. Daily process of MiChart in-basket messages.

Provide care for the patients scheduled on the MA schedule, suture removals. Patient follow-up for normal and low complexity test results as directed by the provider. Assist providers with management of point-of-care alerts for services due.

Medication review and inventory. Medication administration per delegation guidelines. Form completion sent in by various parties (as directed by provider). Queue up prescription renewals as directed by a provider. Order clinical supplies and medications.

Required Qualifications*

High School diploma or GED. Graduation from a Medical Assistant program showing proof of completion. Experience as a Medical Assistant within a clinic setting. Must present a professional and positive image when interacting with patients, faculty, management and staff. Proven excellence in customer service. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Must be able to multitask under pressure and possess strong problem solving skills. Demonstrated record of excellent attendance. Ability to complete multiple tasks independently. Knowledge of medical terminology.

Desired Qualifications*

Reasonable knowledge of computerized patient management system, i.e., MiChart. Working knowledge of Epic and MA rooming process.

Work Schedule

Hours:  40 hours per week.

Days/Shift Hours: Flexibility in scheduling is required. 

Variable day shift; Monday – Friday; 8 hour shifts. 

May include evenings or weekends based on clinic needs and future expansion.

Background Screening
