Responsibilities*

Provides nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician in accordance with the institutional and health center guidelines for adult and or pediatric patients in a primary and specialty care setting.
Provides direct care including assisting and administering tests and procedures, immunizations, injections and IV infusions, patient instruction and patient flow activities.

Required Qualifications*

  • Practical Nursing graduate with successful completion of a pharmacology course in an accredited program.
  • Current LPN licensure to practice nursing in Michigan.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including listening, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated willingness to participate in Quality Improvement and/or LEAN initiatives.
  • Proficiency with computer skills including keyboarding

Desired Qualifications*

A minimum of 1 year of primary care nursing experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Specialty or OB/GYN in an ambulatory care setting.
MiChart documentation and navigation experience is desirable.

Work Schedule

Hours/Week: Specific hours to be negotiated upon hire
Hours up to 40 hrs per week.
Shift: Day Shift; Mon-Fri (possible evening/ Sat rotation)
Location: Brighton Health Center
