The Cardiac Procedures Unit is currently seeking a Paramedic to join its established team. This position is located in the Cardiovascular Center.

Characteristic duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Observe, monitor and document patient condition, including Vital Signs, groin management, and report changes to the medically responsible health care professional.
- Monitoring and Removal of venous and arterial sheaths.
- Must be able to identify the following arrhythmias: Asystole, Ventricular fibrillation, Ventricular tachycardia, Tachy-arrhythmias, Brady-arrhythmias, Artifact, and Multiple PVCs
- Clean equipment and work area.
- Provide direct patient care to include:
- Assisting patients in and out of bed.
- Answering call lights.
- Regaining cardiac monitor EKG's, Accuchecks, stocking of supplies, performing daily QA on testing equipment and emergency equipment.
Transport, ambulate, move and lift patients.
- Current Michigan Licensure as an EMT-P.
- Two (2) years recent (within one (1) year) experience as a Paramedic.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent clinical skills including but not limited to IV insertion, veni-puncture, and arrhythmia recognition.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure of emergency situations.
- Current Basic Life Support Provider verification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS).
- Previous Sheath Pulling exp.
- Knowledge of Mi-chart/Epic Documentation
32 hours, Monday through Saturday. Day/Evening rotation. (4) 8 hour shifts; Call is required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays with one hour response time.
