Job Summary

Nursing Services at Michigan Medicine is seeking individuals to work in a TEMPORARY capacity as a COST ACCOUNTING DATA ANALYST.
Nursing students, Allied Health students or individuals with inpatient hospital experience with familiarity with medical terminology are the ideal candidates.

Hourly wage is $17/hour.



Collects time estimates for bedside interventions, assessments, medication administration, patient education done by nurses on all inpatient units.  

Individual(s) will work with the Clinical Business Analyst to collect and validate the data to create the time standards for daily bedside nursing care provided on the nursing units.

This information will be tied to revenue, cost and outcomes data to demonstrate nursing value in the progression of care.

Required Qualifications*

  • High school diploma
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently 


Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience working in an inpatient setting, familiarity with medical terminology
  • Nursing student or allied health student preferred

Work Schedule

Hours: Minimum of 8 hrs per week up to full-time.  Flexible hours desired.
