The University of Michigan-Flint Physical Therapy Department is seeking an application for a Lecturer I as a laboratory instructor to assist the primary instructor in PTP 728 Musculoskeletal Practice Patterns: Axial Skeleton Integration. Preference is for one person to assist in all labs, but assignment to an individual lab may be considered.

The LEO faculty member will be responsible for assisting the primary instructor in conducting labs for this course and administering practical exams. The expertise of the LEO faculty member will be utilized in meeting course objectives for modules related to the application of examination and interventions designed to treat patients with complex orthopedic disorders related to the axial skeleton. Preference is for one person to assist in all labs, but assignment to an individual lab may be considered.
Estimated salary for position if $3,780 for teaching two lab sections.
- Graduate of a CAPTE accredited (or its equivalent) professional PT program.
- Currently licensed as a physical therapist in a US jurisdiction.
- Bachelor or Master degree will be considered with appropriate contemporary expertise.
- 12 months of post-licensure clinical experience and contemporary expertise in examination and interventions designed to treat patients with complex orthopedic disorders related to the axial skeleton.
This Position is subject to the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers Employees Organization (LEO) AFT/MFT and SRP Local 6244, AFL/CIO.
Doctoral degree is preferred.
Member of APTA preferred.
