University of Michigan, Department of Anthropology invites applicants for one year (two-terms) LEO Lecturer I position for the Fall 2017 (Sept 1 – Dec 31) & Winter 2018 (Jan 1 – April 30) at 33% effort. This position is contingent on sufficient enrollment.
Duties and responsibilities for this Lecturer I position are expected to include teaching the Anthropology Senior Honors Seminar. The course topics include learning and experimenting with research methods and academic research writing.
In addition, Lecturers are expected to hold office hours and handle routine matters related to instruction.
Ph.D degree in a related field by the position start date, expected to be 9/1/2017.
A PhD in Anthropology is preferred.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
