This is a Decentralized Float RN position which involves staffing assignments at multiple health center locations.
Location: Currently covering Domino Farm Allergy, Reichert Allergy, MEND, MedSport and Domino Farms Family Medicine.
Provide age-specific nursing care in an ambulatory care clinic setting for adult and pediatric primary care, ob/gyn and specialty (Allergy, MEND, MedSport and Family Medicine) patient populations.
Provide telephone triage assessment and advice, patient education, direct patient care, and documentation of care.
Coordinate internal and external resources related to patient care.
Provide functional supervision of assistive personnel.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C, including B.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.

Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in providing care to adult medicine patients.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills through use of the nursing process.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities and to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and build respectful relationships within and between units and individuals.

1 year recent experience providing care to adult medicine or pediatric patients in an Ambulatory Care setting or Emergency Department.
1 year recent experience with telehealth nursing.
Demonstrated experience in providing chronic care management education (i.e. asthma, CAD, diabetes, hypertension).
Proficiency with MiChart documentation/ notifications.
Hours/Week: 32 hours per week.
Shift/Hours/Days: Day and Evening shifts; hours may change depending on clinic needs.

Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
