Temporary Staffing Services (TSS) is seeking multiple temporary employees to assist with I-9 processing during peak hiring season. TSS is screening and hiring on behalf of the hiring unit.
Process I-9 paperwork for new employees. Process I-9 recertification. Validate employment start dates. Scan I-9 paperwork into ImageNow. Triage customers and answer questions. Filing and record retention. Keep supplies stocked for the I-9 Center. Utilize systems such as ServiceLink, M-Pathways, and eRecruit. Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years experience in a professional office setting. Some knowledge of human resource processes is helpful. Must have a high level of attention to detail. Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively delivering high quality work output. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be adaptable to changing schedules. Knowledge of and adherence to University of Michigan policies and procedures.
Expected to be Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (with some flexibilty depending on work volume). Position pays $12/hour; Scheduled to start on Monday, August 21, 2017 and is expected to last through September 22, 2017. Must be available to work the entire five-week assignment.
