Clinical Assistance:
Responsible for patient flow, taking vital signs, performing EKGs, maintaining examination rooms, giving injections, drawing blood, update patient information in MiChart.
Clerical Support:
Check patients in / out of clinic, answer telephones and handle requests accordingly, schedule clinic appointments using EPIC / Cadence, obtain outside facility medical records as instructed by staff, enter billing information, cash collection.
Assisting Patients:
Respond to general patient inquiries regarding clinic policies and procedures. Transport / escort patients to radiology, transport patients to and from entrances or vehicles as needed. Coordinate patient care with outside health agencies as instructed by staff.
Clinic management:
Clean examination rooms between patient use, stocking examination rooms, arrange for repair of clinic equipment. Unload boxes of supplies and place in storage as appropriate.

Required Qualifications*

High school diploma or GED. Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program; one or more years' experience as a medical assistant; excellent verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Effective time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have documented history of excellent attendance and punctuality

Work Schedule

This position has three rotating shifts: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, and 9:00 am - 5:30 (on Wednesdays this shift is 10:30 am - 7:00 pm).
The scheduled shift rotates on a weekly basis. The successful candidate will be required to rotate on all shifts.
