General assisting duties include process contaminated/sterile instruments, set-up/tear-down treatment rooms, seat patients. Coordinate and maintain the inventory, ordering and distribution of dental supplies, instruments and equipment. Clean, disinfect, and arrange work surfaces, storage cabinets, sinks and dispensing areas. Coordinate the proper maintenance and set-up of dental equipment and operatories.
Self-motivated and ability to work independently in a busy environment. Knowledge of OSEH standards and aseptic techniques. Strong communication/interpersonal skills. Excellent attendance and the ability to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member. Reasonable knowledge of dental clinic practices and procedures. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent ability to multitask. Excellent organizational skills.
Previous experience in instrument processing and sterilization. Some knowledge of School of Dentistry and University policies, practices, and regulations.
This position is for the School of Dentistry located at 406 N. Ashley St.
This position is a .60 FTE position (24 hours per week) schedulled to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 am- 5pm.
