All UM-Flint students welcome but students must be interested in learning and be reliable. Basic carpentry experience helpful. Opportunity to work in areas of woodworking, metal working, stage lighting and sound, painting, and/or duties related to theatre set construction including cleaning up work areas. Scenery Shop is in production during business hours. Required: Students must be able to lift at least 25 pounds; additionally, this job requires applicants to climb both stairs and ladders. Students will be working on actual shows and getting real, industry quality hands-on experience while being supervised by professionals. Experiences like these can be listed on a resume for future jobs and graduate school applications, and are considered an important part of what it means to be a successful theatre and/or dance major.
