Work on all four UM Flint Theatre and Dance Department productions and dance concert supervising and maintaining costumes built in costume shop. Maintenance might include but not limited to laundering clothing, small repairs during the show and ironing before the show. Required: Students must be able to lift at least 25 pounds; additionally, this job requires applicants to climb both stairs and ladders. You must receive work study funds to be eligible for this position. Work schedule will be based on the production schedule of the four productions and dance concert and you will be required to be at all ALL dress rehearsals and performances between the hours of 5:00 p.m. – 11 p.m. Students with work-study are desirable.
Students will be working on actual shows and getting real, industry quality hands-on experience while being supervised by professionals. Experiences like these can be listed on a resume for future jobs and graduate school applications, and are considered an important part of what it means to be a successful theatre and/or dance major.
