University Outreach is seeking a graphic design student to assist in the creation of interpretive signs for the Cass River that detail the history of the river and the location. The designer will work directly with University Outreach staff and community partners to create and edit the signs. A total of eight unique signs are expected to be produced, following graphic standards and branding established by University Outreach.
Design and prepare posters, charts, graphs, and display presentations; perform lettering and illustration work; assist in the preparation of designs and layouts for publication; perform fine art work using specialized techniques; perform photographic art work for slides and films; order and maintain supplies. Desirable Qualifications: Graduation from high school, supplemented by technical training in graphic design, illustration, and fine art work; work experience in commercial art and graphic design work.
Must be a UM-Flint Student. The ideal candidate is in their junior or senior year with exceptional layout and InDesign experience.
This job posting is for a University of Michigan-Flint Temporary position. Temporary employment may be full or part time, but in either case is limited in duration. This is a short term project, limited to approximately 200 hours.
